A Creative Mashup of Digital Art and Makeup Artistry
A popular form of art, especially in the digital space is abstract art. Abstract art uses visual language of shape, form, color and line to create a composition which may exist with a degree of independence from visual references in the world. Abstraction indicates a departure from reality in depiction of imagery in art.
Today many Artists and Designers have turned to tech devices to create abstract art using design programs such as adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Using this medium has enabled creative individuals to create many different forms of art such as paintings, drawings, sculptures, installations and graphics using computer-generated codes and images. Due to the massive amounts of tools and software available to us through computer programs and the app store, abstract digital art has become the most popular form of expression during the last decade.
Although mostly used for photography, Photoshop is one of the most commonly used programs that allow digital abstract artists to create various forms of art. I like to call it a 'digital playground' that allows creatives to have fun while offering simplicity of use.
DIGITAL ART & MAKEUP ARTISTRY
Nowadays it is more fun than ever to be a Makeup Artist in the digital space. Social Media has made it easy for Makeup Artists to showcase their creative looks while experimenting with various makeup colours, textures and formulations. Digital filters combined with AI has taken abstract visualization to a whole other level in the era of Snapchat, Instagram and Tik Tok, giving creatives unlimited possibilities and freedom to create art digitally.
I personally enjoy bold colours, especially when it relates to Makeup Artistry. Combining digital shapes with various makeup looks has been my source of inspiration for my last curated series. Check out the images on Instagram, follow Wright Artistry @wrightartistry.
